The 2nd All India Bitumen Conference will be jointly organized by Rex Fuels and Petrosil on February 8th, 2018 at the Leela Hotel, Mumbai, India. India’s bitumen demand and imports are expected to rise rapidly in the coming years as the country embarks on ambitious infrastructure projects. India’s bitumen demand is 5 -6 million tons per annum and the country imports 1 million tons a year. There are numerous opportunities and challenges facing the Indian bitumen markets including large foreign players interested in setting up production in the country and challenges faced in discharging bulk bitumen at Indian ports.

The 1st All India Bitumen Conference was organized by Rex Fuels in India November 22nd 2016. The conference was organized on the behest of many bitumen importers and traders who wished to come together along with bitumen producers and start an association to solve some of the issues facing the bitumen industry.

The highly successful conference attracted more than 200 participants. During the event, it was decided that one more event will be organized and the association must take shape and start functioning.

Senior Petrosil management was present at the event and decided to jointly organize the 1st AMEA (Asia, Middle East and Africa) Bitumen Conference with Rex Fuels in Mumbai on July 12-13, 2017. More than 200 global bitumen players from the region attended this International Conference and Petrosil and Rex Fuels decided to build on this success and organize more industry conferences for the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industries.

With the 1st AMEA Bitumen Conference successfully organized the next All India Conference was planned for February 2018 and large oil companies requested that the organizers include Petroleum and Petrochemical Conferences along with the All India Bitumen Conference.
